Wood statuette, 'Killdeer Pride'
A killdeer poses silently watching the world go by before emitting its distinctive loud chirp from morning to night. The killdeer's song inspires Nengah Sudarsana's art as he sculpts the bird's image from quality albesia wood. Sudarsana paints the statuette by hand with acrylics, expertly detailing the killdeer's characteristic feathers and bringing life into its eyes. The stand is carved from sono wood and features an iron support rod.
